Bukedea member of parliament Hon Anita Anne Among thankful to the president of Uganda H.E Yoweei Kaguta Museveni and his son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba after release from house arrest.
The former speaker of parliament was arrested a few months ago on charges of corruption and money laundering she was accused of during her time in office as the speaker of parliament.
Most of her property like cars and land were impounded and some of them haven’t been given back to her at this point.

Despite all that she is still thankful saying that she is actually happy to be free and ready to serve her people who voted for her to represent them in parliament.

As the Woman MP for Bukedea, I look forward to continuing my work for my constituents and standing firm with our revolutionary leadership. I take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for the gift of life and freedom. My profound and heartfelt appreciation goes to His Excellency, President @KagutaMuseveni, for his unmatched parental grace and decision to grant me mercy,”.
Although some of the members of Parliament don’t like her that much, she however said that what matters are the people that entrusted her with the love and their votes to serve him.
It should be noted that Anita Among hasn’t appeared in Parliament ever since all the saga but she extremely ready to make everything work out.
