Former MUK Vice Chancellor Prof Baryamureeba Calls For Boycotting The Coronation Of New Tooro King Edward Kijjanangoma

Former Makerere University vice chancellor Baryamureeba has called for boycotting the coronation of the new Tooro King Edward Kijjanangoma.

This is happening after the death of Omukama Oyo Nyimba that succumbed to cancer last month in the United States of America (USA).

The moment King Oyo was announced dead, there was a fight on who will become the next Tooro King. He had left a will that claimed his son to succeed him and if not, he named two cousins who he thinks would be a good fit.

Unfortunately his will wasn’t followed, the family immediately voted for a new king they think is capable and the will of Oyo was tossed around.

Now that the coronation is in days, Tooro Kingdom has appealed to people asking them to contribute money for it to go smoothly.

Chosen Omukama of Tooro Kamurasi

According to Professor Baryamureeba, any camping that will contribute publicly should be boycotted because the will of Oyo needs tone respected.

“If any serious company signs up to support this coronation we should also sign out and support their rival.. .. Baby Oyo has 100 times more  supporters. So we have the capacity to cripple them. Even mark the politicians that are hobnobbing with them 2031 is  not far,”
