Tooro Kingdom Succession Worsens After Gov’t Refuses To Gazette The New King Edward Kijjanangoma

The Tooro Kingdom is now under the microscope of the international media as the succession takes new twist every now and then.

The new king Edward Rukidi Kijjanangoma was selected by the Babiito but the royal family members didn’t accept him saying that he was chosen out of spite of the hatred of Queen Mother Best Kemigisha.

Following the Attorney General’s legal opinion that the Tooro throne is currently vacant, attention is now shifting to King Oyo’s children, who are expected to be presented before the courts as the succession process unfolds.

Legal experts say it is not automatic that the King’s son will be crowned, but the current royal family appears to hold a stronger legal position than the Babiito clan.

The earlier “white smoke” around Omusuga Rukidi Edward Kijanangoma has now faded as the kingdom awaits formal guidance from government.

Meanwhile, Karambi Royal Tombs and Karuzika Palace remain under tight security.

Also  President Museveni (M7) is unhappy with what some describe as M9’s propaganda surrounding the Tooro Kingdom succession.

Tooro king down is one of the famous kingdoms just because they crowned the youngest king in the world king Oyo who was three years old.

He has again died at a very young age and the kingdom is back in the media because of fighting for the throne which was even more worse.
