The kingdom of Tooro through the chief priest Musuuga Charles Kamurasi has announced a new king during the burial of the late king Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru.
It has been on the news for a very long period of time and the chosen king is Edward Rukidi Kijjanangoma who was also a news anchor at UBC television.
According to Omusuuga, they went through all the laws of Uganda and the culture of Tooro to choose the new king and they are happy that they fake to an agreement.
“I want to inform you, the people of Tooro and Uganda at large, that we have a King. We sat down and agreed on one thing: the King is Prince Edward Rukidi Kiijanangoma. Whatever we have done, we have done within the laws of Uganda and the culture of Tooro.” – Musuuga Charles Kamurasi
The family of Oyo including two of his cousins said that the late had a will that he left behind and it was clear on what his intentions were.
The people that are fighting for his throne didn’t know anything about him to the point where they said nothing about his sickness.
Repatriation of Late King Oyo’s Body Rescheduled
There has been rumour about him having a son and unfortunately the son has been kept away from the public because of the social media hatred and the family wrangles.
The Queen Mother and the Princess promised to go to court and they were willing to let their beloved son/brother legacy live on like he wished.
