She got the party ticket amidst all the competition that was going on because the party still believes in her and the potential she carries in herself.

After the nomination, Shamim pledged to fully serve her people more than she did in this term if they vote her again to go to parliament.

The Kampala woman MP explained to her fans and supporters that she is going to start preaching the NUP manifesto to the people to know exactly what her and the party will work on.

“Today i got officially nominated for the position of WOMAN MP KAMPALA under the National Unity Platform ticket in the forthcoming 2026 general elections. Next phase is preaching the NUP manifesto to our people,”

She also talked about service delivery saying that she is still committed and people should expect the best in the next term.
