Masaka member of parliament and former leader of opposition Mathias Mpuuga isn’t sitting around and joking when it comes to his life and future in politics.
He is taking his former boss and President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine and Hon Allan Ssewanyana to court.
This happened after the two accused him of being the person behind the arrest of late Hon Ssegirinya Muhammad and Ssewanyana on the issue of the Masaka killings.

Mpuuga said that the statement they made are meant to defame his character and also turn his people to hate him.
“This morning, I addressed the media on a number of issues, particularly yesterday’s statements by Mr Robert Kyagulanyi, the NUP president, and the Hon Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye West, in regard to the 2021 Bijambiya killings in Masaka.
The time for letting some characters to irresponsibly mudsling, malign, and defame us is behind our backs. The time now is for those characters to account for the statements they make.
I have, therefore, instructed my attorneys to file a suit in court, which will ultimately give Mr Kyagulanyi and Hon Ssewanya an opportunity to tell the country and families of the Bijambiya victims what they know about those killings,”
