There was confusion at Lubaga Cathedral on Easter Sunday when a man was arrested for posing as a Catholic priest during a service led by Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere.
According to reports, the man was identified as Peter Mutebi, he arrived at the cathedral dressed in priestly attire and attempted to join the clergy in the sanctuary.
Church officials and security officers with Catholic priest grew suspicious of his behavior and appearance as even failed to act like other bishops during the service.
Archbishop Ssemogerere was alerted and confronted Mutebi in front of other priests hence leading to his arrest.
It is becoming even more common in Uganda for people to impose for different occupations knowing they don’t fit in that.
Some do it to just get money but others do it as a provocative thing to see what will happen just in case they are not caught and to see what really happens behind closed doors of some institutions.
This man known as Peter didn’t have a good chance as he was caught and now investigations are going on to see why he did what he actually did.
