Legendary Ugandan musician Mesach Ssemakula has opened up about the rumours that have been circulating on social media for so many years about his HIV status.
He said that someone spread a rumour that he is HIV positive and there are fans who believed the rumour and still go up to this date.
According to Mesach Ssemakula, he got a problem right his leg in 2016 and it almost killed him. He said that he went from one hospital to the other until he got medication to cure it.
Unfortunately there are people who are always available to spread all the fake rumours and that is what happened to Mesach.
The singer explained that he doesn’t understand why some people are like that and for the first time he is publicly talking about his HIV status.
“My leg got sick and it almost killed me. A lot of things were said because of my sick leg. This happened in 2006 and up to now, people still say that I’m HIV positive” – Mesach Ssemakula
There are other famous Ugandan musicians that have been accused of being HIV positive and have never come out to say anything about it.
Some have explained but even with that, they are still accused of being HIV positive and now that has got to their children that get bullied in different schools.
