Former Kawempe South member of parliament Kazibwe Bashir has revealed reasons why he didn’t work harder for his people during his time in parliament.
In the one term he was in parliament, the people that voted for him complained all the time saying that they regret voting for him on the fake promises he gave them.
Kazibwe Bashir was a journalist first and with the political shows he was doing, there was so much hope that he understood what the people wanted and how the system works.
The opposition political party National Unity Platform (NUP) also believed in him so much to the point where they gave him the party card even where there was competition.
According to Kazibwe Bashir, when he went in parliament he was very observant and all he wanted was to live longer because his family loved him more than the people.
The thought of losing his life because of politics wasn’t on his redder and that is why he decided to stay silent during the time and not contest again.
